Fri and Sat - Aug 16 & 17


 

The big day... Orginal cache and HQ! The original cache is way out in the boonies! There is a physical container and log for it but like 90 feet away is nother cache called "Un-orginal Stash" which is in a beautiful pine forest setting! Gorgous!! With that done we headed into Seattle to get to HQ for our 1 p.m. appt. Made it, spent a little time in HQ and then took the HQ tour walking the streets near HQ. Some cool finds! We got eight of the nine caches and would get the virtual the next day. Next day got up and grabbed some nearby virtuals and earthcaches and then got the last HQ tour cache which gave us a souvineer! We actualy were done by noon and I suggested that we go do the APE cache today so we can get on the road faster after the APE Mega Event tomorrow... Bob agreed and we headed up that way! We're in Seattle going to HQ - 3rd floor please! The TB Chest and HQ logbook We of course logged the logbook - and got a souvineer!

An APE cache that was not put out... gave us an ideal what to look for! It is a BIG ammo can! Got to log the TB's that orbited the earth on the ISS! Actually logged about 70 TB's that are rare and unique at HQ!

Had to wait to take a picture ... people always look at you wondering why you are stareing at a building for that long! Then we went to the Virtual: Art of Tacoma: Bridge of Glass Made by the famous glass maker Chihuly, the Bridge of Glass (and nearby museum) go over the interstate

This is about a 20 ft glass structure on the walkway over the Interstate Then shelf after shelf of glass ware... all shapes and sizes Lots of it!
