Monday - On the road to Alabaster Caverns - page 2

                                                                                 

Well... we left Monday morning at 9 a.m. in light rain...got the bus loaded and then took off. We lunched at Alabaster Caverns State Park, then did the 2 p.m. tour of the cave.

The stairs leading up and out of the cave. This cave in the 60's was equiped as a Civil Defence shelter in case of Nuclear Attack... supposely 2,500 people could survive weeks in here.
