The gathering

1. From bat count up to Northwestern Oklahoma, past Woodward toward Freedom... all bat counters converge on the Selman Ranch to celebrate Betty Selman's 80th Birthday Bash! Our Southwest team met up with the Northwest bat count team in the front yard and traded bat stories.

2. We then were ushered in and met a variety of guests that Betty had invited. Members of our club (COG), University of Central Oklahoma (UCO), Oklahoma Wildlife Department, Nearby Universities, Political people, all kinds of folk got together and had an awesome brisket dinner!

6. We then were treated to an outdoor slide show talking about the new Selman Living Laboratory being planned on the UCO land that was purchased from Mrs. Selman and contains the Selman Cave Complex. After seeing what plans are made for the SLL, we then were treated to an astronomy program. After those were over, most of us were pretty frozen solid, we headed for the cars and headed home!

Happy Birthday Betty! Thanks and Great Party!!
