Spring Garden 2011

                                                                                                         

Planted 2 different kinds of lettuce, 7 bells and 2 jalapeno peppers, 64 corn, 160 onions, 3 cucumbers, and 52 red potato's.

There have been 2 hard frosts hit since planting... the peppers are struggling but the others have been ok. We'll see....

as is the lettuce... The Potato Factory... Sumo protects the onion farm

Cucumbers - this batch died from the first frost... the 2nd looks like it might make it. The hops are coming out strong... Overview - Apr. 24th - One month later

Really late frost (May 2nd) (usually Apr. 15th is the last one!) Covering up the struggling peppers!

May 15th - started harvesting lettuce Corn really starting now to take off about 2 more weeks with the onions

One more month and harvest them potatos and then grow the giant pumpkins! The Basil is coming up pretty well...this is the 28th generation of Basil...I started 28 years ago and replant each year with the seeds of the previous season. On the right - Garlic, Horseradish (big leaves), and banana plants coming up.
