Round Rock, TX Geo Trip - June 25-26, 2022

June 25, 2022 - We left early on Friday to go to the Round Rock / Austin area to get challenges, earthcaches, a where-i-go and virtuals. It was incredibly hot for this time of year with the heat getting to me on the second day and I called it quits at noon as I was weak and worn out already.

One cache which I did not get any pictures was the where-i-go in an elete shopping center... it was based on a murder and you had to go investagate various suspects This took us to a bunch of store fronts in which the module would then continue the adventure. Finally after an hour and a half we nabbed the suspect but he didn't have the pearls on him. We had to go to a final location to hunt for the ditched goods. It was in a woody area next to the interstate side road and exit from the mall. Very busy. We finally located the cache and signed the log. One of the longest caches I ever participated in but it was fun.

Limestone is everywhere down here. Grampa Bob 14 next to the proof we were there. Then me, ddvdude. There were two caches on a mountain that we climbed. It had stairs but the handrails were so hot you couldn't touch them. Look at the rich houses on the Colorado River.
