Alabaster Caverns Bat Wing Ding - April 2019

On the 2nd weekend of April you can find me at Alabaster Caverns State Park up in NW Oklahoma doing the annual 'Bat Wing Ding!'
I've worked this event for the past 15 years. We have games, puzzles, scavengerhunts, discussions etc.. Some years are nice, some are bitter cold... this one was fair.

One of the fun things at Bat Wing Ding is the bat scavenger hunt. 12 bats are hidden in an area and kids (and adults) get to find them in their enviroment One of the places are rock crevices which this litle one found! If you are successful then you get a Bat Investagators Badge (NCIS - Natural Ciropterian Identification Society)
