Final TX County Run - June 26, 2017

We got our last cache on June 26 (little did we know it would be months until we could sign the final log stating we had 'officially finished'. A few of the items that occured on the road...

We passed two check points within about 50 miles of each other. We were able to pass with no problem as Uncle Bob wears his Purple Heart hat and the licence plate is Purple Heart too. The troopers/guards/watchers were very courtious... one even thanked Bob for his service.

There are cameras EVERYWHERE... nothing is going to get by here without being put on film! A famous general in Laredo... Bob almost got jumped there... very deep in hispanic area and rough. Neat area for a cache... one was out on the island here.

We were driving though very aird country... one would say desert.. then out of nowwhere ... we hit the Nueces River... crystal clear, aqua in color and fairly cool. Very pretty area... wanted to stop and get in the water on the 100 degree day but we had to get going to make the last tour of Caverns of Sonara 100's of miles away!
