On the way home & Geocaching

When we left Jackson Hole the day before to go to Yellowstone, there was only snow in the high mountains... after about a 3 hour drive to get back (took 1 1/2 hours to go up) the valley was white already. As we did not have chains for the car and we had to go though the divide a couple of times, we decided that the next morning we would leave before it really got bad. The forecast was for snow and the temp in the teens! We left in the dark to get a good start...

We left early but had snow on the roads from the night... nothing like what was forecast soon... 6-12 inches... just THAT day! The snow was on the road and icy for the next 200 miles.... Bob had just picked up a new hobby called Geocaching... using a GPS and compass find a geocache hidden somewhere...

There are millions across the world and even in desolate Wyoming! <grin> You get coordinates on your GPS (or phone) and then it guides you to where a stash is located. We brought this one out of the weather to open it and sign the logs...

I got hooked too and signed up to do Geocaches too (geocache.com) and get all kinds of locations of geocaches. I picked up this skull (which is called a traveling bug) and moved him from WY to Oklahoma (990 miles) so he can wonder about in warmer country!
