June Garden

After last years horrible summer of heat (we had 89 days over 100+ degrees, I decided I wasn't going to put in a garden this year...but changed my mind and put in heat hardy plants... I was going to grow watermellon and pumpkins. They are taking over the garden plots... planted 11 watermellon and 4 pumpkin.... looks like 7 watermelon grew and 2 pumpkin plants came up. The pumpkins are of the larger variety...but I only have one fruit per vine... but they are getting big!!! Click on any photo to see an enlarged version.

there are 3 8x8 ft. and an 8x16 ft raised beds in there...	They are taking over! <grin>	Even the statues are being covered!

That's ONE pumpkin plant!!	Got a yellow pumpkin... strange shape and color... don't have much hope for this one!	Here's my big one so far... still growing and still green.. have my 11 size shoe for compairson!

	It's pretty hard to find the watermellons... they are well shaded by their leaves.	Looks like there are 9 watermellon growing...
